Matt Volpe

Matt is a first year grad student interested in exploring how bacterial metabolism in the human microbiome affects health and disease. He is currently studying the biosynthetic pathway of colibactin, an unusual PKS-NRPS secondary metabolite in E. Coli. Outside of lab, he enjoys seeing (and performing in) plays and musicals, cooking, and constructing DIY projects of various sorts.
